About the Area

The surrounding area offers a huge variety of different activities, from endless hiking trails, bird watching, horse riding, cycling, world class climbing at El Chorro - with it´s gorgeous lakes, and the recently acclaimed, World Heritage site of El Caminito del Rey - The King´s Walk, an amazing suspended pathway through a spectacular gorge.

Malaga city centre, beaches and the airport are all only a 25 minute drive away and great cities to visit like Cordoba, Granada and Seville are within 2 hours drive.

Pizarra is just 5 minutes away, a pretty and friendly Andalucian, country town, not at all touristy and offering a few very good places to eat out, a variety of shops, bars and cafes and lots of local festivals.

If one is wanting to explore the area and to do day trips, a car could be useful, but not necessary, as there is a bus stop right at the end of the drive, with hourly buses to Pizarra and on to Malaga city. Pizarra itself has a very good train service, with hourly trains to Malaga city, with connections to the airport and trains to Ronda/Cordoba.
